Gofo Health and Education was founded on the principle that if we care for the environment today, it will care for us in the future. Society seems to be perplexed as to why there is high statistics of illness and cancer related diseases. Modern industrialized living has brought us valuable technologies but many unnecessary conveniences that have disconnected people from the environment. Unless people make an effort to understand how and why to move back to an organic, integrated lifestyle, which was the norm just a few generations ago, they will continue on this downward spiral of self-destruction.

GOFO mission is to raise awareness of sustainable living and the value of organic farming methods to the greater community of Greenville, SC. We understand that to create a healthy world we must start by educating the youth on the precious cycle of life and why it must be protected. We have created outreach programs in partnership with county schools and local businesses that both support and foster environmental activities among children. We aim to influence children in their values by showing that mass production of foods impact detrimentally on the planet, its natural resources and ultimately our personal health. By teaching horticultural and environmental preservation, it is our hope that youth and communities will grow beyond their potential.

The future of the planet is in our hands and GOFO is committed to making a difference in our community.The earth is one living organism and it’s everyone’s responsibility to become stewards of local and global natural resources.
